The Sewing Class of Morgantown First Baptist Church and the Clara Lee Circle sent 50 pillowcase dresses and 30 pairs of shorts and shirts for children to the Houston, Texas WMU to use for children in that area.
Ann Bartholomew is the leader of the Sewing Class, and many dresses have been sent to Haiti, Inez, and Lynch, Kentucky, and the Haven of Rest. There are approximately ten members who work in the class.
Mike Jennings also sent 24 quilts to the Houston area. These quilts were made by Edith Gary, a retired Butler County teacher. Houston was hit with extensive flooding following Hurricane Harvey.
