FCCLA recently competed in state STAR Events competition.

1st place; Delaney Embry, Brooklynn Henderson, Evan Johnson, Dana Newland, Makenlei Skaggs, Bailey Stinson, Hannah West, Parliamentary Procedure

The Butler County Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently competed in state STAR Events competition. 

Results were as follows: 

Dustin Johnson, Chapter Service Portfolio,

1st place; Amber Blunk, Environmental Ambassador,

1st Place; Ellie Moore, Nutrition & Wellness,

2nd place; Jordan Chambers & Grace Decker, Chapter Showcase, 3rd place. 

All 1st and 2nd place winners are eligible to compete in National competition in July at Nashville.

 

We also had four members earn the Power of One National degree:  Delaney Embry, Kane Gott, Evan Johnson, Austin Norris.

 

Makayla Iler won an Agnes Foster Golden Horizon Award for outstanding seniors.

 

Our chapter was also recognized as a Gold Honor Roll chapter and a supporting chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

 

Lauren Tyree, State Vice President of Parliamentary Law took an active part in this meeting and was awarded a $1,000 FCCLA scholarship. She was also honored as a “Say Yes to FCS” student.
