Fatal ATV Accident on Possum Hollow Road

A Butler County woman is dead following an ATV accident on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency personnel responded to the accident at approximately 4:15 pm on Saturday. Reports say that  Christy Renfrow, age 40, was killed when she was thrown from her 4-wheeler near Indian Camp Creek Road in the 2200 block of Possum Hollow Road. According to Deputy Trey Flener with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Renfrow was riding 4-wheelers with her daughter, son, and husband when she lost control of her ATV and left the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Butler County Coroner Marty Jones.

Responding to the accident were units from the Butler County Sheriff's Department, the Butler County Rescue Squad, the Butler County Coroner’s Office, Morgantown Fire Department, Fifth District Fire Department, Fifth District Constable Jody Henderson, and Butler County EMS.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Renfrow, of Morgantown; four children, Joseph Lee Renfrow and Emma LeeAnn Renfrow, both of Morgantown, April Nicole Davis, of Henderson, and Ashley Lee Renfrow, of Nolin Lake; her mother and stepfather, Thomas and Winona Clark; her father, Virgil Haynes; two brothers, Bill Thomas, of Owensboro, and Scott Clark, of Shepherdsville; one sister, Kristina Clark, of Venice, Fla.; two nieces, Madison McKenna Clark, and Sydnee Clark; and one nephew, Trayton Clark.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
