Fatal Accident on KY 185

A single-vehicle accident on KY 185 in Butler County shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday morning has claimed the life of Trent Woosley, 19, of Roundhill, Kentucky.  According to Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Alford, Woosley lost control of his Ford pick-up, dropping off the right side of the road. The vehicle traveled some distance before hitting a culvert, crossing the road, and flipping. Woosley was pronounced dead at the scene by Butler County Coroner Gerald “Marty” Jones.
Also responding to the scene was Butler County EMS, Butler County Rescue Squad, Morgantown, and Fourth District  Volunteer Fire Departments.

 

Trent Alan Woosley, 19, of Roundhill passed away May 9, 2015 in Roundhill.

The Edmonson County native was a 2014 graduate of Edmonson County High School, a diesel mechanic, a student at Lincoln College of Technology and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of Jeff Woosley and Trena Copelin Woosley of Roundhill, who survive.

Funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Edmonson County High School Gymnasium with burial location pending. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Gravil Funeral Home.

Also surviving are two brothers, Tristan Woosley and Tray Woosley both of Roundhill; his grandparents, David and Betty Woosley of Roundhill and Norvella Copelin of Upton; and a great-grandfather, William E. Davis of Bowling Green.

In honor of his brother, Tristan- expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1941 Bishop Ln., Louisville, KY 40218.
