Car, truck, tractor and motorcycle enthusiasts take part in Quality Cruise-In

Saturday, June 25 marked the 2016 edition of the Quality Cruise and Swap held in downtown Quality, Kentucky.  There were plenty to do and see all day.  There were all kinds of cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles on display.  There were hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, desserts and sodas, as well as a good supply of pork rinds and homemade ice cream.  A popular event, people from all over the state and outlying areas came to compete, eat and enjoy.  The sweltering heat did nothing to dampen the crowd and spirits.

Several awards were given.

Car division 3rd place went to Warren Blackford for his 1965 Cummins.  2nd place went to Buck Carver 1980 Malibu.  The winner in the car division was Jimmy Givens with a 1970 Dodge Dart.

Truck division 3rd place went to Dewyane Spencer.  2nd place went to Clayton Dochery for his ’39 Chevrolet.  1st place in trucks was Spencer Brown in a ‘54 Chevrolet.

Tractors 3rd place is Dennis Hall (not in attendance).  Harold and Carol Mitchell won 2nd place.  First place went to Randy Grubb for his ’63 Massey Ferguson.

Motorcycles: 3rd place was Mia Lewis.  2nd place was Fred Medors.  1st place in motorcycles was presented to Jim Scruggs with his ’06 Honda.

Lawnmower 3rd place was Drexel Johnson.  2nd place was presented to Tyler Maxfield.  1st place in lawnmowers was, once again, Drexel Johnson.

People’s Choice award was Lori Davis for her 1971 Chevelle.  Rat Rod winner was Tom Dorris.
