Butler, Simpson, Warren water employees give back for the holidays

Butler County Water System, Inc., Simpson County Water District and Warren County Water District employees continually give back each year during the holiday season by sponsoring children and collecting toys.  The Employee Committee representing all three water utilities are working with the Butler County School System and Andrea’s Mission to make a brighter Christmas for 20 children.

“Giving to others is such an important part of Christmas,” stated Butler, Simpson and Warren Water Employee Committee Member & Construction Coordinator Kelly Hawthorne.  “I am proud to be part of team that gives so much.  Butler, Simpson and Warren Water recently announced the commitment of $30K in 2016 for United Way and now employees are stepping up once again for children in our area at Christmas.”

Butler County Schools are an intricate part of the community and impact so many lives daily.  The employees of Butler, Simpson and Warren felt the schools would know the children with the most need.  Andrea’s Mission established in July 2011, houses residents dealing with addiction.  Andrea’s Mission provides a safe, structured, transitional environment for women.  A goal for the mission is to ultimately reunite mothers with their children.  The Employee Committee felt the need to give to these children that are impacted to have a brighter Christmas.

"All three water utilities embrace a “giving” spirit, always going above and beyond to help others in need.  The joint effort makes a greater impact every year in the community.  Water is our focus, but giving to others will always be a common trait among our team.  Adding cheer and making a few more children smile on Christmas makes our hearts happier,” added John Dix, BCWS General Manager.
