Butler County track and field teams compete at McLean County

MORGANTOWN - After competing on the road at Grayson County in an early-season meet on Tuesday, March 13, two days later, Butler County track and field teams ventured to McLean County. Butler County track and field squads competed in a McLean County All Comers Meet on Thursday, March 15. The Butler County boys' team won at McLean County while the BC girls' team finished second. 
Along with Butler County and host McLean County, the meet include Hancock County, Ohio County and Todd County Central track and field teams. The Hancock County girls' team also finished first. 
Butler County finished first in the boys' team rankings with 124.50 points. 
The Butler County girls' team placed second with 98 points, finishing behind frontrunner Hancock County (111 points). 
Trenton Stovall (Boys 110 Meter Hurdles, Boys 300 Meter Hurdles), Kierra Neighbors (Girls Long Jump, Girls 100 Meter Hurdles) Jacody Hope (Boys 100 Meter Dash, Boys Triple Jump), the Boys 4x200 Meter Relay, Hannah Whittinghill (Girls 400 Meter Dash), Cortez Cook (Boys 400 Meter Dash), Bowen Kirby (Boys 3200 Meter Run), the Girls 4x400 Meter Relay, and the Boys 4x400 Meter Relay all turned in first-place finishes for the Butler County track and field program.

Girls' Team Rankings: 1. Hancock County, 111; 2. Butler County, 98; 3. Ohio County, 49; 4. Todd County Central, 45; 5. McLean County, 21.
