Blue Christmas Service @ MCRC

The holiday season is not always just a time of happiness; there is also sorrow for those who are dealing with the memories and pain of losing a loved one. In an effort to help those cope with loss, Morgantown Care and Rehab hosted its annual Blue Christmas Service on Thursday night, December 22^nd. The service is intended to allow those to grieve their loved ones and know that they are not alone. While relying on fellowship and faith, attendees of the service were given the opportunity to light candles in remembrance of their loved ones. Not only were residents encouraged to attend the service, members of the community were as well.

Providing music for the night was Mandy Logsdon, while Chaplin Derek Cain led the service. After the service, all who attended were encouraged to take home a blue ornament to place on their tree in remembrance of loved ones they have lost and partake in the refreshments afterwards. This special time allowed all individuals who came to the service to share their memories of their loved ones. As always, MCRC thanks all those in attendance and encourages the community to visit.
