B&G Club hosts Christmas Party; celebrates 20th anniversary

On Friday, December 16, the Boys and Girls Club of Butler County celebrated its 20th anniversary of opening their doors in 1996 with a Christmas party. The kids were excited to be receiving a gift and pizza during their party. All of the toys were donated by the Boys and Girls Club Association.

Bruce White, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club said his favorite thing about having a Christmas party "is to see the joy and excitement of the kids and give them an opportunity and to have something nice for them." "We are doing this for the kids of Butler County in order to provide a safe place for them," added White.

The Boys and Girls Club of Butler County has about 100 kids that attend every day. They follow a routine of arriving from school and having a snack, which is then followed by an hour of homework, an hour of crafts, and then they are able to have free time.
