BCMS Students Host a Summer Reading Program

Bailey West, Kaylee Givens, Emily Winstead, and Lydia Wells are already working on a 2016/17 STLP Project focused on promoting reading through the Kentucky Bluegrass Award Book Nominees for 2017.
This group of books have been chosen because students always enjoy these new titles each year.

Incoming 6th graders are invited for fun activities for our first BCMS Summer Reading Program on the following dates :
June 10th 9am-11am beginning at the Public Library and ending at BCMS Library and bring your public library card
June 30th 11am-1:00pm at the BCMS library
Bring at least one empty 2 Liter bottle for making a KBA book character that we will create QR codes that enable the 2 Liter Characters to talk!
A fun lunch will be provided! Something to do with mustaches! We "Mustache you to come!"
July 15th 9am-11:00am at the BCMS library
Will continue with creating KBA 2 Liter Characters for Exhibit and Contest for Best Characters!
July 26th 9am -11am at the BCMS library KBA locker magnets for Jumpstart this week!
*Students should be picked up at Butler County Middle School on each of these dates.
