BCMS Beta Club raises $900 to benefit the Butler County Backpack Program

The Butler County Middle School BETA Club, under the direction of Butler County Middle School Teacher Mr. Thomas Harper, partnered with the Butler County Family Resource Center and Youth Services Center to fundraise for the local Backpack Program.  The BCMS group sold Tumblers from the KY Fundraising Company to raise money for the benefit of students who receive weekend backpack food in Butler County Schools.  In total, the group worked to raise $900.00 for the program.

Liberty Franzell and Mckenna Lindsey of BCMS BETA Club presented the check for $900.00 to Angie Burden, BC YSC, for the Backpack fund.  Garry McKinney, Morgantown Mission, manages the funding for our local program.
Drakes Farm Service, Flener’s Main Street Collection, Jump Zone, Sonic, and Tiffany’s Tanning & Boutique donated prizes for BCMS students who participated in the fundraiser.  Winners of the prizes are Ashley Childress, Hannah Rossignol, Liberty Franzell, Luke Laughing, and David Sanchez.
If you are interested in supporting the Butler County Schools Backpack Program through Feeding America, please contact Mr. Garry McKinney at the Morgantown Mission.
