BCHS Softball Honors Seniors, Alumni, and Jr. Pro Teams

The ButlerCounty Softball team honored their two seniors Olivia Jones and Tori McKinney on Monday and their alumni and Jr. Pro players on Tuesday night.

#25 Olivia Jones is the daughter of Haley and Marty Jones.  She plays first base for the Bears.  She couldn't pick the best memory because
"We've made too many memories and had too much fun for me to pick just one, any memory I have with these girls over the years is my favorite."
Advice to returning players- "Cherish the nights you spend playing under these lights, they are the best of your life.  Cherish your teammates, one day you'll realize how much this sisterhood is worth.  You think you have forever, but you don't.  You think there will always be more time but there isn't. Your time on this field comes and goes quicker than you think.  Make every inning count, don't ever take this game for granted or be anything short of ALL IN!  It has been an honor and privilege to play alongside the most outstanding girls I've ever known.  I love you all and good luck in seasons to come."
Olivia plans to attend WKU and major in Communication Disorders.

#6 Tori McKinney is the daughter of Philip and Lisa McKinney and Debbie and Paul Burden.  Tori plays right field but has played several positions over her career.  Her best softball memory, "It is hard to choose one memory.  I always have a great time with these girls I call my family. Just this year only I've had great memories with them from Evyn yelling "I Am Mad" at us, to going bowling, to the movies, and to the races with the Dads.
Advice to returning players, "No matter how much you hate pre-season and practicing, go hard and have fun.  Over the past week of me being out, I have realized just how much I will miss the game.  So have fun because before you know it this will all be over.  Also, play for yourself and not others.  I will miss all of yall and love yall to death.  I know yall will do great next year without us.
Tori plans to attend WKU on a pre-dental path with a degree in biology.
