BCHS BAND: The Road to El Dorado

The Butler County High School Marching Band is getting ready to take the field for the 2015 season. This year the band has 134 members total, making the band one of the largest AA bands in the state of Kentucky. This year's show is The Road To El Dorado.

Band camp was held July  20-30 to prepare for the upcoming season.

The students always have circle time during band camp.  Band for these kids is more than just marching on the field and performing, it’s about the unity and aspect of family the kids share.  Before every show the kids have circle time and during band camp.

On the last night of camp students performed for the parents. This performance was to show the parents part of the show for the upcoming season and display all that had been accomplished during camp.

The upcoming season starts August 29, 2015 at Muhlenburg County, September 12th the band will go to Franklin-Simpson, September 19th will be the band’s home show at BCHS then that night they will travel to Russellville, September 26th they head to Warren East in the morning and Warren Central at night.  The band will have 2 weeks off then on October 17 perform at Grayson County.

Monthly the band has Pork Loin Sandwich Lunch sales at PBI Bank parking lot as a fundraiser.  The community involvement is tremendous for our band and so appreciated.
