Baseball Seniors Honored

Senior Night recognition was held on Friday at the Butler County High School Baseball Field. Four baseball players were recognized  Gage Ward, Caleb Beasley, Skylar Moore, and Andrew Henry.

 #2 Gage Ward was escorted by his parents Jamie and Scottie Ward.  Gage played baseball for 6 years and football for 3 years. 

 “I want to thank God first off for giving me the ability for playing this game.  I would like to thank my family for all their support throughout the years and taking me across the country for every summer since I was 9 so I could play the game I love. Would also like to thank my coaches and teammates for continuing to push me to be the best player I could be.”

 Honors- 2016 and 2017 All Tournament and All District Team

 Future plans- Attend John A. Logan to continue my athletic career as a baseball player and continue furthering my academic and major in business

 Best Memory- Florida Trip freshman year

 Advice to future players: Treat every game like its your last cause you never know when this game can be taken away from you.

 

 

 #9 Caleb Beasley was escorted by his parents Julie Meador and Richard Beasley. Caleb played baseball for 2 years and basketball for 4 years.

 “ I want to thank God for giving me the ability to play without him none of this would be possible.  Thanks to all the coaches for working with me in my transition from basketball to baseball and thank you to my family for supporting the through everything.”

 Caleb was in PEP Club, FCA, Spanish Club, and BC Drug Free

 Future plans- Attend SKYCTC and go into the radiology program

 Best Memory- Beating Grayson County in district championship in 2017District Championship

 

#11 Skylar Moore was escorted by  his parents Chasity and Greg Moore.  Skylar has played baseball for 5 years.

 “I want to thank my friends, teammates and coaches.  Most importantly my family.”

 Honors- 2016 golden Glove Award and 2017 All district Team

 Skylar is graduating with a 4.0 GPA

 Future plans- Attend WKU and major in accounting

 Best memory- Winning back to back District championships even when everyone doubted us

 Advice-Don’t play basketball during baseball season

 

 #21 Andrew Henry is escorted by his father Ron Henry, is mother is Tina Alford.  Andrew has played baseball for 4 years.

"I want to thank everyone that has helped me along the way."

Andrew is in Science Club, SUPA, and Beta Club.

Honors - 2017 Coaches Award, 2018 Best Defensive Lineman

Future plans are to attend WKU for Sports Management
