Butler County Extension Agent, Lloyd Sailor, expressed his admiration for the participants and their incredible projects. He said, "4H projects exhibited are just an example of the many educational opportunities kids have in 4H. We want kids to gain a sense of belonging, mastery of skills such as woodworking, sewing, cooking, raising animals, to have independence as they learn to care for themselves and participate in camps. The ability to speak publicly and present themselves well and be generous to others is equally important, as well as leadership in the community. Most projects were created at day camp with teen leaders' oversight."

The local 4H program has long been a pillar of Butler County's commitment to fostering the talents and skills of its young residents. Through various day camps and engaging activities, children have the chance to develop not only their artistic abilities but also crucial life skills such as leadership, communication, and self-sufficiency.

As the Green River Catfish Festival drew to a close, the Butler County 4H exhibit left a lasting impression on visitors, reminding them of the incredible talent and potential that lies within the county's youth. With the support of organizations like Butler County 4H, young individuals are given the opportunity to thrive, grow, and become the future leaders of their community.
