2011 Grain Production Meeting for Butler County Farmers

Steve Hunt Farm, Spring 2011

The 2011 Mammoth Cave Area Gain Day is November 29th at 9:00 a.m. at the Warren County Extension Office. The program is for farmers that produce corn and soybeans in our area. There will be presentations from UK Extension Specialists on:  “Management options for increased soybean yields”, “Seed Treatments”, “Corn herbicide management”, “Grain Marketing Update”,” A farm bill update”, and “research on narrow row corn”.

The soybean yield presentation will be of particular interest as Dr. Lee has been working for three years with researchers from three other states to try and break the soybean yield ceiling we seem to have reached.

The program will conclude at 1:00 p.m. and lunch will be provided by our sponsors the Kentucky Corn Growers Association and The Kentucky Soybean Board. There is no charge to attend the meeting, but we would like to know if you plan to attend so we can order your lunch.

For more information, contact the Butler County Extension Office at 113 East G L Smith Street, Morgantown or call 526-3767. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, disability, or national origin.
