Drake's Farm Service held their first coyote hunt challenge, "Moondog Madness," on February 23-26. Two to three-person teams competed for prize money for the highest number of coyotes and the heaviest coyote.

LEITCHFIELD — Butler County outlasted Edmonson County 44-41 in the semifinals of the 12th District Girls' Basketball Tournament at Grayson County High School on Monday, Feb. 26.
Following the win, Butler County improved to 17-13.
The regular season has ended for KHSAA high school boys and girls basketball in the Bluegrass.

MORGANTOWN — Butler County sophomore catcher/infielder/outfielder Parker Willoughby is ranked third in the Preseason Region 3 Softball Player Rankings.
The rankings were compiled after voting was conducted among the coaches in the region.
CALHOUN — Junior guard Ty Price made a school record 12 three-point field goals and scored 43 points to lead Butler County over McLean County 75-54 on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Butler County improved to 18-8 after posting the win.
As a result of the loss, McLean County dropped to 15-11.
MORGANTOWN — Butler County was limited offensively as Daviess County pulled away to win 61-36 in a girls' high school basketball regular season finale on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
