Butler County Conservation District Awards Reception
The Butler County Conservation District held an awards ceremony on March 11th at the Butler County Conservation District Office in Morgantown. Butler County Judge Executive David Fields and Johnny Tuck, Second District Magistrate, presented the Annual Allotment of $35,000 to the Conservation District. The winners in the Jim Claypool Art and Conservation Writing Contests were recognized.
Winners included:
County Writing- Tyler Marksberry
County Art- Raeleigh Parrish
School Winners:
Butler County Middle School Writing- Tyler Marksberry, Mattie Wells, and Haley McKee
North Butler Art- Raeleigh Parrish, Toni Franzell, and Kobe Annis
Morgantown Elementary Art- Carter Graham, Harley Howard, and Mary Elizabeth Embry
Teacher Awards: Writing Pam Fazel, Butler County Middle School and Art- Susie Dorris of North Butler Elementary
BCMS teachers Anita Cardwell, Pam Fazel with Amanda Arnold and Darren Rice
The Conservation District Board of Supervisors include, William Shane Wells, chairman, Darren Rice, vice-chairman, David Newton, secretary/treasurer, and members R. Forest Taylor, John D. Parrish, Boyd R. Penrod, and Steve McKinney.
