Andy Sullivan: Against The Grain

Fall has arrived.  It’s 80 degrees as I’m writing this but, hey, the season is here.  Fall brings pumpkin spice lattes, hot chocolate(eventually), fall festivals, Halloween and the new television season.  Lots of shows premiere this week(or already have).
You have mysteries from last season such as: did Deacon survive on Nashville(of course he did.  He’s one of the two main characters of the show)? Side-note: I saw the guy who plays Gunner at the Ed Sheeran show I went to last weekend. What will the fallout be for Elizabeth Keen on the Blacklist(my favorite show, premiering October 1)? What about the fallout from Sherlock’s (assumed) relapse and attack on his captor? I’ve seen in previews that his father, Morland Holmes, is introduced.  That should be interesting.
As far as the comedies, well I’ve kind of forgotten what was going on with Modern Family.  I think there was a “will they/won’t they get together” with Haley and a guy.  Isn’t that always the case? Also there was the whole “Mitch quit his job and Cam doesn’t know” thing. I guess I recall more than I realize.
Big Bang Theory returned Monday, picking up on the Sheldon/Amy(ShAmy) and Leonard/Penny marriage storyline.  I’ve yet to watch that premiere-it’s on DVR.  Scorpion has become another of my favorites.  That one’s in the DVR also.  I watched the Voice premiere Monday.  Is that show already getting to the American Idol tiresome level? I like to think the Voice is a little more entertaining.  I think so.
Speaking of which, AI premieres its final season in January.  I’ve not watched since my friend Kara auditioned.  And I quit watching when she was eliminated.  I may watch some this year simply because Dan Overlock, Two-A-Days from the Dan Patrick show, tried out.  I want to see if he gets in.  He played a little on the DP Show.  He can play and sing well.  Of course, the winners of those shows just disappear in a few months.  Maybe it’d be better if he just made it to the semifinals or finals.  Those seem to be the ones with the better careers.  Can anyone even recite the last five winners of AI? The Voice? Where are they now?
I’ve already attended one fall festival with a fall fellowship/hayride upcoming.  I guess you could call this the 2nd most wonderful time of the year.
