WKU Honors 44 Students from Five Area Counties

WKU honored 44 students from six high schools in five southcentral Kentucky counties for their academic achievements.

This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 27.96 and grade-point average of 3.93 and included 21 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars.

The following students from Allen, Butler, Edmonson, Logan and Simpson counties were honored at a luncheon Oct. 14 at WKU’s Augenstein Alumni Center:

Allen County-Scottsville High School: Sydney Blankenship, Sam Calvert, Tori Edwardson, William Slaten, Quinn Towery.

Butler County High School: Haley Adkins, Brittney Gruber, Alison Kurfiss, Brittany Qualls, Emily Rich.

Edmonson County High School: Amber Hagan, Norma Patel, Regan Saling, Morgan Vincent.

Franklin-Simpson High School: Ahleena Bell, Cynthia Bunton, Shivam Champaneria, Emily Clark, Hannah Clark, Molly Fleming, James Hill, Mitul Patel, Elizabeth Peden, Jordan  Santimaw.

Logan County High School: Molly Bell, Mark Chapman, Katelynn Collins, Kelsey Coleman, Wesley Estes, Kayla Hazel, Chandler Larson, Sydney Mimms, Savannah Rogers, Reagan Thomaston, Andrew White, Caleb Williams, Ben Wright.

Russellville High School: Rachel Fisher, Jada Morris, Kelsey Patterson, Derrick Porter, Eduardo Rodriguez, Wesley Stratton, Sarah Williams.
