Wilson Named to National Group

Senate President Robert Stivers recently appointed State Senator Mike Wilson (R-Bowling Green) to The Council of State Governments’ (CSG) Education Public Policy Committee.  CSG, a national organization based out of Lexington, Kentucky, encourages multi-state problem solving, develops leadership skills, and fosters collaboration among all three branches of state government.

The Education Public Policy Committee provides a forum for state leaders to address emerging challenges and issues arising from dynamic educational conditions.  As a member of the committee, Wilson will study emerging trends, innovative and effective solutions, and viable policy positions.

“I am pleased to be a part of this committee to get more information about what other states are doing to advance educational opportunities for their students and to share policies we’ve implemented in Kentucky,” said Wilson, Chair of the Kentucky Senate Education Committee.

CSG is a nonpartisan organization, founded in 1933, to promote excellence in state government through the exchange of ideas and policy information.  Its members are from all three branches of the fifty states and 5 territories.
