William Paul "Bill" Hampton Jr.

William Paul "Bill" Hampton Jr., 72, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday August 26, 2013 at his residence. Bill was born April 2, 1941 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Paul and Margaret Penick Hampton.  He was a member and elder of Morgantown Church of Christ. Known by his students as "Mr. Bill", he was an agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Butler County High School from 1978 - 2000. He was also a farmer, active in the Butler County 4H, Butler County Extension Service Office, and Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. William Paul "Bill" Hampton Jr. is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn Kay Hampton of Morgantown, Kentucky.; 3 sons, David Hampton of Phoenix, AZ;  Mike Hampton (Jill) of Rogers, AR; and Steve Hampton (Keila) of Morgantown, KY.; 7 grandchildren Ryan and Blake Hampton of Rogers, AR.; Hayden, Audrey, Houston, Rebekah and Harrison Hampton of Morgantown, KY; 1 great-granddaughter, Marlee Klaire Hampton of Rogers, AR.; 1 sister-in-law, Florence Hampton; 3 nephews, Tommy Hampton (Cheri), Eddie Hampton (Ellie) and David Hampton (Diane); and 2 nieces, Carol Girkey (Mark) and Karen Issacs (Shawn); 2 great nieces and 7 great nephews;  1 great-great  nephew and 2 cousins, Paul Freeman Annis of Morgantown, KY and Rita Eden of Hartford, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas "T.O." Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at the Morgantown Church of Christ Saturday on August 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Roger Worley and Bro. Brian Eadens officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, August 30, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the Morgantown Church of Christ.
