William O. Royal, 82 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at his residence. William was born July 19, 1932 in Lakeland Georgia to the late W.C. and Mary Etta Teston Royal. He served in the United States Army for 4 years, retired from G.E. after 36 years of service, Bldg. 1, employed at Jefferson Special Police for 25 years and member of Belmont General Baptist Church for 18 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Chuck and John Royal and two sisters Edna Brantley and Doris Stewart.
William O. Royal is survived by his wife of 32 years Gwendolyn Colburn Royal of Morgantown, Ky.; four daughters Nancy Heap of Alexandra, VA, Rhonda Royal of Morgantown, Ky., Kimberly Miller husband Jerry of Morgantown, Ky. and Donna Jones husband Darryl of Louisville, Ky.; two sons Danny Cottrell of Louisville, Ky. and Bobby Royal wife Michelle of Barbourville, Ky.;two grandsons Nick and Luke Wilkerson; five granddaughters Amanda Cox, Patricia Dennis, Jolene Allwein, Rachel and Julie Heap; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters Wilma Hulsey of Douglas GA and Joyce Brown of Moultrie, GA and one brother Bob Royal of Cleveland, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 4:00pm with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 30, 2014 from 10:00am until funeral time at 4:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
