Wanda Lynn Akins age 57, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Wednesday August 6, 2014 at her residence after a long battle.

Wanda was born January 8, 1957 to Wendell and Mary Akin. Wanda is survived by a daughter Stacy Moman and husband Bruce of Rome, GA, Brother Bobby Akins and wife Nancy of Bowling Green, KY, two sisters Barbra Orefice and husband Lou of Foley, AL and Rita Hankins and husband Roger of Bowling Green, KY and two half-sisters Quincy Proctor and Jennifer Cox of Morgantown, KY along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many great friends. She is preceded in death by her brother Ricky Akins, father Wendell Akin and mother Mary Akin Downey. Visitation will be held at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel Tuesday August the 12 at 1 PM with Bro. Brent Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery in Logan Co. KY. Visitation will be held Monday August 11 from 5-8 PM in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel and Tuesday from 8 AM until the funeral hour at 1 PM.
