Wallace Minton

Wallace Minton, 85, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at Ohio County Hospital.  He was born in McHenry on January 5, 1928 son of the late Claude and Gussie Bishop Minton.  Wallace served  as an ambulance driver in the U.S. Army, was  retired from Peabody Coal Center Prep Plant in Centertown where worked as a welder.  He was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, UMWA Local 1919.  Wallace loved leisure time with his dog Rufus and fishing.


Survivors include his wife Billie Basham Minton, 3 sons Michael(Gloria) Minton, Larry (Gail) Minton and Dennis Minton, 6 Grandchildren Brandy, Michael, Mark, Alex, Darrell and Cori, 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 sister Dorothy Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Roger Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry.  Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Ohio County Honor Guard will have graveside rites.
