Tony Rose drops off school supplies at WLBQ/BtN

Smokin Joe

School starts in Butler County on Thursday, August 6th, and thanks to some help from D93’s Tony Rose, some of the returning students will have free school supplies.
Rose annually conducts the Stuff the Bus promotion to gather supplies for area students. Rose’s stuffed bus dropped off pencils, pencil boxes, note books, folders, and other supplies at the studios of WLBQ 101.5FM in Morgantown on Thursday, and those supplies will be distributed to local students.
In 2016 WLBQ-Radio, and Beechtree News will partner with Rose and D93 with to Stuff the Q-Van. Stuff the Q-Van will allow Rose to help more area students, and will provide an opportunity for WLBQ and BTN to give back to the community. Said Diane Dyer of BTN/WLBQ, “We are heavily involved with the school system anyway, so it’s only natural that we work with Tony Rose and D93 to help our local students and their families.”
Students will also be helped again this year by the Butler County Family Resource Center. It has become an annual tradition for the BCFRC to open the school year with their Back to School Bash, and this year is no different. The Bash will be Tuesday night, August 4th, at the Charles Black City Park in Morgantown. The BCFRC will distribute supplies at that time, and also helps out students in need throughout the school year.
Free school calendars are also available from WLBQ and Beechtree News. BTN and WLBQ distribute a comprehensive school calendar each year through local schools. Every student will be given the durable calendar to take home, and they are also available at the BTN/WLBQ offices at 107 W. Ohio Street in Morgantown.
