Thelma Embry Meredith, 87, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at the Meadowview Health & Rehabilitation in Louisville.

She was born on May 21st, 1926 in Neafus, the daughter of the late Henry and Ora (Milam) Embry. Thelma retired from King’s Daughters and Sons where she was a caregiver.

Thelma is survived by her sister, Flora Wilson of Louisville; her children, William Meredith of Alabama, Doris Bratcher of Caneyville, Betty Goosey of Louisville, Ray Meredith of Carrollton and James Meredith also of Carrolton. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Stanley Elmore will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
