Severe weather possible off and on for next few days

There could be two or three rounds of severe weather in Western Kentucky during the next few days, the National Weather Service said.
After a lull early Monday, another round of severe weather could appear Monday into Monday night. A third round is possible Tuesday but the weather service said the risk Tuesday appears to be low compared to the first two rounds.

The NWS office in Jackson said severe weather and heavy rainfall is possible for Eastern Kentucky Monday through Tuesday.

Damaging winds appear to be the major concern but hail and a tornado cannot be ruled out, the National Weather Service said.

Central Kentucky may see scattered thunderstorms tonight and then become more frequent at daybreak Monday. Frequent lightning, gusty winds and heavy rain are possible.

Severe storms are possible Monday and Tuesday -- particularly Monday night and early Tuesday. Damaging winds and heavy rains are the main concerns, the weather service said.
