On Sunday, May 31, 2015 at approximately 11:40pm, Officer Ethan Vincent responded to an injury collision in the 11 block of Veteran’s Way where a pedestrian was struck by a motorist.
A pedestrian, Michael Johnson of Morgantown, was walking home from work, eastbound on Veteran’s Way, when he was struck by a GMC Sonoma pickup truck operated by Kevin Embry of Leitchfield who was also traveling east on Veteran’s Way.  Officer Vincent advised Johnson was wearing a dark shirt and khaki pants and was not seen by Embry.  Johnson was transported by Butler County EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where he was treated for apparent non life-threatening injuries.  Embry was not injured.
Butler County EMS and the Butler County Sheriff Department also assisted.
