Pearl Drake, 85 of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at her residence. Pearl was born October 28, 1928 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Eclus (Eck) and Mazie Kitchens Harper and was wife of the late Bervie E. Drake. She was retired from Hillcrest Nursing Home in Owensboro, Ky. She is preceded in death by one son Donnie Drake; two brothers A.E. and Leon Harper; two sisters Jean Russ and Sue Hartis; sister in law Hilda Harper and three brother in laws Claude Banks, Gailey Hartis and Aaron Benson.
Pearl Drake is survived by two daughters Sheila Sharp of Owensboro, Ky. and Vicky Acton husband Ray of Owensboro, Ky.; two sons Bervie Darrell Drake wife Donna of Owensboro, Ky. and Michael Drake of Owensboro, Ky.;10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters Margie Benson of Owensboro, Ky., June Humphrey of Morgantown, Ky. and Doris Banks of Owensboro, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, February 7, 2014 at 1:00pm with Bro. Roger Heltsley and Bro. Timothy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the New Midway Cemetery.
