Parrish Judge For A Day

John Matthew Parrish, a fourth grade student at North Butler Elementary, was honorary Judge for the Day on January 14.

Parrish spent the day with Butler County Judge Executive David Fields and toured the courthouse, including the jail. He talked with Butler County Deputy Jailer and Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward concerning their duties. Parrish also toured the Butler County Ambulance Service/Dispatch with director Brian McKinney. County Road Foreman Timmy West gave Parrish a tour of the County Road Department where he was able to explore the road equipment.

Parrish signed a proclamation declaring January 16, 2015 to be John Matthew Parrish Day in Butler County. After lunch at the Farm Boy, Parrish headed back to North Butler Elementary.
John Matthew is the son of Johnny and Alisa Parrish of Roundhill.
Each year the North Butler PTO Fall Festival auctions off “Enrichment Experience Days” with a variety of people in the community.
