Norman Donald Tanner, 77, of  Woodburn, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Kentucky on January 9, 1938.  He was preceded in death by his father,  James Bradley Tanner, his mom, Effie Laura Orange Tanner and one son, Mickey Robert Tanner.  Mr. Tanner was of the Protestant faith and was an Air Force Veteran.  He retired from Clarks Distributing and also worked at Warwick Electronics in Chicago and Howard W. Sams Publishing in Indianapolis.  He loved all ballgames, playing golf, and living in the country.
 
He  is survived by his wife of 57 years, Juanita Romans Tanner of Woodburn; one daughter, Sheila Tanner of Woodburn; one grandson, Tyler Reeder of Louisville; one sister, Jeanette Graham of Whitehouse, TN and one brother, Roger Tanner of Morgantown.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Thursday Oct. 1, 2015 at 2 pm.  Burial will follow in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 1 from 10 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Envelopes will be available at Smith Funeral Home.
