From Pineville, Kentucky in Bell County, John Collins has crossed much of the state on the way to his  new position as clinical director at Physical Therapy Solutions in Morgantown.  Located at 110 Ashley Plaza Circle, Physical Therapy Solutions offers a wide range of outpatient therapy services and accepts most any insurance.

Collins, 43, is a University of Kentucky graduation (2002).  He operated his own practice in Barbourville, Kentucky for over a decade before becoming the physical therapy director for a company in Lexington.  Collins said he was looking for a smaller community to settle in when he met Joseph Harris of Physical Therapy Solutions.  

"I met Joe and a lot of people here and am looking forward to working again in a smaller community," said Collins, who currently lives in Leitchfield but will be spending a lot of time in Morgantown.  Collins said he arrived in Morgantown in early June and has really enjoyed meeting many people in the community. 

"I'm hoping to build a long career here and be part of the community.  It's been a great experience so far," said Collins, who has a daughter (Abby, age 11) and fiance, Brandy.   

Collins brings a lot of experience to his new position as clinical director.  "I have experience in working with patients in different age groups - from adolescents to the elderly, as well as athletes of all ages," said Collins.  "Our goal is to work closely with the injured, disabled or with those suffering illness and to get patients back functioning and self sufficient in their home where they are happy."  

Regarding athletic rehabilitation, Collins, who has a football background, said getting the athlete back in the game healthy and as soon as possible is the goal.  

Collins said building relationships is important to the healing process.  

"I want to get to know our patients on a first name basis and increase their comfort level as we work through the rehabilitation process," added Collins. 

Physical Therapy Solutions also has fitness equipment for personal training.  The Morgantown office (Physical Therapy Solutions has a location in Leitchfield, as well) is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but Collins indicated that those hours will be flexible to meet the needs of patients.  For more information, patients may call the office at 270-526-9400 or contact John Collins by email at [email protected].
