MPD Investigation Leads to Rape Charge
On Sunday, June 22, 2014, Officer James Embry, of the Morgantown Police Department, arrested Jimmy Hall, 56 of Irvington, Kentucky and charged him with Rape, 1st degree. The arrest was a result of an investigation that was initiated on June 8, 2014. Through investigation, it was discovered that Hall made contact with the 13 year old female victim via a social media chat room- exact website unknown. After chatting for a period of time, Hall met the victim at the Charles Black Park in Morgantown and then took her to the Green River Lodge. Hall was located by AT&T “pinging” his cellular telephone. Hall was located Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his residence in Irvington, Kentucky by the Cloverport and Hardinsburg Police Department. Hall was arrested by the Cloverport Police Department on an outstanding warrant for kidnapping out of Virginia and lodged in the Breckinridge County Jail.
Hall was arrested on an arrest warrant by Officer Embry on Sunday, June 22, 2014 and is currently lodged in the Butler County Jail.
Agencies also assisting in this investigation were the Kentucky State Police, Cloverport Police Department, Hardinsburg Police Department and AT&T.
