Morgantown Elementary was recently recognized by the Kentucky Board of Education and the Kentucky Department of Education for receiving the designation of a Kentucky High-Progress School under the 2012-2013 Unbridled Learning Assessment and Accountability System. A high-progress school is a school that is in the top 10 percent of improving schools among similar schools in the state. In his letter to Morgantown Elementary Principal Greg Woodcock, Commissioner Holliday said, “Morgantown Elementary School is a model of positive change for other schools in Kentucky.” Commisioner Holliday concluded by encouraging Morgantown Elementary to continue their “good work”.
