Morgantown Care & Rehab Celebrate Fall
The obstacle course, pony rides and bouncy inflatable house had to be cancelled due to cold temperatures and wind, but this year’s fall festival at Morgantown Care and Rehab still went on as planned. It was just moved inside.
Residents and friends chose from a variety of events including face painting, photo booth, pumpkin painting, duck pond, ring toss, pumpkin toss, hair chalking, lots of food and a cake walk. But beyond the fun and fellowship, the 4-7 PM Friday festival was an important fundraiser. “The money raised will go toward Christmas for the residents,” said Shirley Allen, director of volunteer services. “Different volunteers made cakes for our cakewalk,” she added.
A little later, music was the theme as Kyle Whitaker, his brother Cody and Thomas Harris performed. This year’s festival was a fine one.
