Mayburn Bryan McCoy

Mayburn Bryan McCoy, 88,  of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Butler County, passed away Monday, December  3, 2012 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. Mr. McCoy was born May 13, 1924 in Butler County, KY in the Leetown Community to the late Willard B. and Annie Pearl Mason McCoy.  He was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and a United States Army WW11 Veteran. He retired from E. R. Carpenter Co. in Russellville, farmed, and drove a school bus for Butler County.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Esma Henderson

Mayburn Bryan McCoy is survived by his wife of 48 years Elvera McCoy of Louisville, Ky.;  son Wade McCoy of Louisville, Ky.; foster son Shawn of Louisville, Ky.; brother Wallace McCoy of Bowling Green; sister Anna Ruth Hall of Morgantown; Several nieces, nephews and cousins 

The funeral service will be held at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Thursday, December  6, 2012 at  2:00 p.m.  with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating and is under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Sandy Creek Cemetery, Morgantown , Ky.  Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home and Morgantown and Thursday  9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Morgantown, Ky.
