Lura Luvina Elmore age 91 of Morgantown Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at her residence. Lura was born on November 19, 1921 in Warren County to the late James Oscar and Ima Lee Scruggs Johnson and wife of the late Leslie Raymond Elmore. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Raymond "Buck" Miller, granddaughter Sabrina Forshee, grandson Jayden Michael Dean, brother Cecil Johhnson, and 3 sisters Mamie Ward, Josie Gray, and Martha Cherry.
Lura Luvina Elmore is survived by daughter Mary L. Miller of Morgantown Ky.,  son Leslie Clyde Elmore and wife Bobbie of Indianapolis IN., 3 granddaughters Marsha Reed and husband Ethan of Bowling Green Ky., Jenny Jenkins and husband Charles of Woodburn Ky., and Rose Wells and husband Michael of Bowling Green Ky., 4 grandsons Ray Miller of Hadley Ky., Roy Miller of Richardsville Ky., Howard Elmore and wife Penny of Indianapolis IN., and Timothy Elmore and wife Kathy of Indianapolis IN. 2 sisters Minnie Martin of Fort Wayne IN., and Flossie Turner of Bowling Green Ky., 2 brothers Bud and Sonny Johnson both of Bowling Green Ky., 21 great Grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at The Jones Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10:00 am with Bro. David Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Vistation will be on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 6:00 pm till 8:00pm and Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 9:00am till 8:00 pm and Wednesday 8:00am till service time at 10:00am all at The Jones Funeral Chapel.
