Louis Edward Mudd, age 82, of Caneyville, KY passed away on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 at his home in Caneyville.

Mr. Mudd was born June 7th, 1931 in Grayson County, KY to the late Roy and Mertie (Elder) Mudd. Mr. Mudd was a member of the Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church in Caneyville. He was retired from Otis Bryant & Son Milling in Caneyville.

Mr. Mudd is survived by three daughters, Fonda Brooks (Tim), Pam Hayes  (Ronnie) and Vera Bryant (Norman)  all of Caneyville; two sons, Roy Stevie Mudd and Timothy Louis Mudd both of Caneyville; one brother, Roy Mudd Jr. and one sister, Kathleen Embry both of Caneyville; several grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and four sisters in-law, Laura Mudd, Wilma Reeve (Norman), Jenny Humphress (Malcom) and Sherry Hovious (Phil) and his mother in-law, Lavanna Scott.

Other than his parents, Mr. Mudd is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann, one infant daughter, Mary Etta; three brothers, Elbert, J.T. and Charles Mudd; three sisters, Marjorie, Louise Hack and Lorena Cummings; his father-in-law, S.V Mudd; one brother-in-law, Carl Mudd and one sister-in-law, Etta Jane Mason.
 
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church. Bro. Pirtle Cummings will be officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Friday after 12:00 noon and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
