Letter to the Editor, from Betty Farris

Dear Editor,
It has been my pleasure to have known C. B. Embry for many years, meeting while we attended college together and then continuing our friendship as he entered into the political arena.  As C.B. enters into the senatorial race to represent the 6th Senatorial District I would like to take this opportunity to share with you the many areas he has worked with those of us in his district.
C.B. is a retired educator and works closely with the Butler County Retired Teachers Association to meet their goals of enhancing education across the state.  He was instrumental in securing funding for North Butler Elementary School.  C.B. also works statewide in securing funding for all areas of education and serves on the Kentucky Legislative Education Committee.
Butler County is the only remaining county which has Rural Development Clubs in our communities.  These Clubs were organized in 1957 and C.B. has always been a supporter, willing to donate his “special session” salary to the Rural Development Clubs, as well as several other local volunteer organizations in our county.
Kentucky Farm Bureau and Butler County Farm Bureau are organizations which work to continue support of agriculture throughout the state and in our county.  C.B. has worked in Frankfort to support those policies and issues relating to agriculture.  He works closely with us in seeing that the farmer and farm organizations are not overlooked in the state budget.
I will support C. B. on November 4th as he will certainly work for Butler County in the Kentucky Senate.

Sincerely,
Betty Farris
