Mr. Leon Cothern, age 65 of Franklin, died Thursday November 6th at his residence. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1pm at the Franklin First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Prices Mill Methodist Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Lawrence Cothern and Euree Kirkland Cothern. He was an employee of Hunt Ford/Chrysler in Franklin. Mr. Cothern was a Navy Veteran. Survivors include 3 children – Cliff Cothern of Bowling Green, Kirk Cothern of Louisville and Nikki Duncan of Franklin; brothers and sisters – Linda Mann, Clara Faye Dinning, James Cothern and Roger Cothern all of Franklin; 4 grandchildren – Noel Duncan, Lucas Duncan, Jaob Cothern and Kaylee Cothern. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 9pm and after 6am Monday at Franklin First Baptist Church.
