Johnny Buckley

Johnny Buckley, 91, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Johnny was born on Saturday, July 21, 1923 in Buena Vista, Kentucky to the late William and Mary Record Buckley. He was the oldest member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church and he was retired from General Electric after 33 years of service. Johnny always loved farming, keeping a pretty yard and garden, going to church, and enjoyed his Sunday School class. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers: Ted Buckley and wife Ruth; Albert Buckley and wife Amanda; E.G. Buckley and wife Evona; and Stanley Buckley and wife Grace; five sisters - Irene Hempel and husband Walter; Ollie Montgomery and husband Doty; Ruby Beliles; Pauline McCoy and husband R.C.; and Virginia McCoy; one brother-in-law, Billy McCoy; and two sisters-in-law, Ruble Yates and Sharon McCoy.
Johnny Buckley is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rebecca Emmerdean Buckley of Morgantown, Kentucky; four brothers-in-law, Denver Beliles of Morgantown, Presley McCoy of Morgantown, Andy McCoy of Morgantown, and Douglas McCoy (wife Esther) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Juanita McCoy of Morgantown, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and he was a friend to all who knew him. 
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Larry Orange and Bro. Jim McDaniel officiating.  Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
