Jessie "Judy" Gilbert-Chesser, 69, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014.

Born in Caneyville, she was the owner of Norris Place Ice Cream and a sales representative for Avon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Phelps.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Chesser; children, Barbara Ceron, Floyd Gilbert, Jr., his wife, Karen and Rick Gilbert; brother, Talford; sisters, Beauchenia, Barbara and Betty; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. CST Monday, December 22, 2014 at Chapel Union Baptist Church, in Butler County, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
