Jerry Neale Nitz Sr., 63 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Jerry was born Thursday November 15, 1951 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Fred and Rosa Browning Nitz. He was a member of Temple View General Baptist Church, Reedyville Masonic Lodge, a Kentucky Organ Donor and was retired from General Motors Corvette Plant. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, one step son Glen Roberson Jr. and several brothers.
Jerry Nealie Nitz Sr. is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Dixie A. Nitz of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter Janet Lee of Arkansas; three sons Jerry N. Nitz II, Jason Nitz and Jacob Nitz all of Arkansas; several brothers and sisters; five step daughters Noda Roberson of Texas, Marian Liserio of Texas, Debra Borden of Louisiana, Tresa Liserio of Louisiana and Sandra Bell of Texas; two step sons Clarence and John Buffington both of Texas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two special friends Gordon Amos Jr. and Everett Phelps both of Morgantown, Ky. and several other great friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday September 30, 2015 at 12:00pm with Bro. Frankie Skipworth officiating. Masonic service will be conducted by the Reedyville Lodge Tuesday September 29, 2015 at 7:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel . Burial will be in the Temple View Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 29, 2015 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm  and Wednesday September 30, 2015 from 8:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
