James "Jim" Childress

James "Jim" Childress, 81 of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Hospice House, Hospice of Southern Ky., Bowling Green, Ky.   He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on September 16, 1934  to William Murry and Lydia Brown Childress. Jim was a Army Veteran  a  aviation mechanic and a decoder with the military. Mr. Childress  was a retired State worker, Coal miner and a member of the VFW Post#5837.  He was preceded in death by 5 Sisters; Evelyn Wilson, Earlene Childress, Beulah Childress, Polly Nelms, Anna Lou Spangler. 3 Brothers; Garland, Weldon & Glendon Childress
He  is survived by 3 Sisters; Jolene Pike of Fort Myers, FL., Olene Sweet of Lafayette, IN., Una Mae Trost of Lafayette, IN..  Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, October  4, 2015 at 3:30 pm with Bro. Jimmy McIntosh officiating and Military honors to be conducted.  Visitation will be  Sunday, October 4,  2pm until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice House, Hospice of Southern Ky., or Andrea's Women Mission.
