James C. Abbott, 91 of Evansville, Indiana passed away Tuesday October 14, 2014 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville Indiana. James was born October 13, 1923 in Butler County Ky. to the late Robert and Bennie Forsythe Abbott. He was a member of Peasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, World War II Army Veteran and a retired painter. James is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
James C. Abbott is survived by his wife Lois Abbott of Evansville, Indiana; one daughter Jamie Riley husband Kevin of Evansville, Indiana; two granddaughters Amanda Brown husband Sonny and Kaylee Riley ; two grandsons Travis Riley and Jared Riley; one great grandchild Aiden Brown all of Evansville Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00am. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel. Please share your photos, memories and condolences of James at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com
