Irene Wilson

Irene Wilson, age 88 of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Morgantown. Ms. Wilson was born April 11, 1924 in Butler County to the late James Ellis and Sally D. Geary Embry. She was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Ms. Wilson is preceded in death by husbands Everett Wilson and Gordan Wilson, 1 sister Bonnie Embry Renfrow, 2 brothers Foy Ertest Embry and Ustis Embry, 1 niece Marzola Embry Wilson, 1 great-nephew Kendell Ray Phelps, 1 step-son Gordan Wilson Jr., and 2 step-grandchildren.

Irene Wilson is survived by 1 sister Lorene Felty of Morgantown; 4 nieces Narzalene Embry of Leitchfield, Anita Phelps of Leitchfield, Venetta Embry of Bowling Green, and Shelia Ryle and husband Bill of Owensboro; 2 nephews Darrell Felty and wife Deloris of Morgantown, and Dion Felty of Morgantown; 6 great-nieces Missy Gary and husband Perry of Mainville, Ohio, Dana Bynum and husband Russ of Savannah, Georgia, Michelle Neeper and husband Rusty of Bowling Green, Beth Houchins and husband Tim of Pheonix, Arizona, Rachel Mayes and husband Craig of Bowling Green, and Danielle Ryle and husband Justin of Somerset; 2 great-nephews Bryan Wilson and wife Venitta of Leitchfield, and Jerry Phelps of Beaver Dam; 6 great-great-nephews; 2 great-great-nieces; 1 great-great-great-niece; 1 step-child; 5 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral chapel on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 4:00 pm with Bro. Darryl Dockery officiating. Burial will be in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am till service time at 4:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Morgantown, Ky. Online condolences may be made at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com.

Mrs. Wilson was a wonderful lady , a great neighbor and friend to my parents. I am sure they are singing her arrival in heaven !
