On January 1, 2014, the Affordable Health Care Act goes into effect and Tracy Cowles, County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences, will host an informational meeting on Saturday, December 14 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Butler County Extension Office.  Gina Tynes with Hocker Insurance Agency will explain how the law affects you or your family. NOTE:  INFORMATION WILL BE FOR PEOPLE UNDER 65 YEARS OF AGE AND NOT MEDICARE-ELIGIBLE.  This program will be for people who already have insurance and people who don’t – but want to.
    Do you have questions about all the health insurance plans and premiums available in Kentucky?  Figuring out which parts of the law have to do with you or your family can be a challenge.  Make plans to attend this meeting to ask questions so that you will be able to make an informed decision.
