Gillis D. Meredith, 65 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at his residence. Gillis was born March 3, 1947, in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Noatley and Erdine Kinkade Meredith who survives. He was a self employed businessman.
Gillis D. Meredith is survived by his mother Erdine Kinkade Meredith of Morgantown, Ky.; 3 daughters Tricia Perkins of Bowling Green, Ky., Deana Clark and husband Kevin of Bowling Green, Ky. and Jamie Wissing and husband Justin of Bowling Green, Ky.; 3 grandchildren Ashton Lucas, Carsen Hughey and Elijah Wissing; companion Kelly Stuart of Morgantown, Ky.; sister Judy Hunt and husband Donald of Morgantown, Ky.; 2 brothers Harold Meredith and wife Carolyn of Morgantown, Ky. and Phillip Meredith and wife Sharon of Bowling Green, Ky.; Kelly's son Stuart Meredith and wife Alicia and children Kellon and Matthew Meredith and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00pm with Bro. Jerry Burke officiating. Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com

He will be Dearly missed everyone liked Gillis I tried to make it a point to see him when I came in from Teneessee, He always had a smile and a hug for me,,Morgantown not going to be the same now he's gone.. Rest in Peace my dear friend May God watch over the Meredith family and help us through this great loss of our loved one ,,,

he will be missed Barry and I thought a lot of him . he did so much for Butler CO. our Prayers is with the Family
