Fatal Motorcycle Accident

UPDATE: Robert Darrow had turned himself in at the jail. He was formally charged with two felony counts of failure to report an accident involving death.
Darrow made his first appearance in Rock Island County Court May 19, and  is scheduled to next appear May 26.   He is being held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Authorities  have identified a person of interest in the search for a deadly hit-and-run crash in Illinois City. They are looking for 40-year-old Robert Darrow, who was last known to live in Muscatine. They want to talk to him about a crash Sunday night that claimed lives of two people on a motorcycle on Highway 92.

The two people killed in the Sunday night hit-and-run accident have been identified as 42-year-old Kevin Diehl, formerly of Morgantown, and 37-year-old Dawn Korch.
Officials are searching for the driver who hit and killed the two motorcyclists after a crash Sunday night near Illinois City. Investigators closed down about a mile section of Highway 92 after the crash. Officials say the incident happened on 92, about a mile and a half west of Illinois City in Rock Island County.

The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department says a silver 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed east on 92 when it crossed the center line and struck a motorcycle headed westbound. 
Officials say the driver of the car fled the scene on foot. Officials were searching the area into the early morning hours of Monday, May 18, 2015.
